29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): A continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.95(c) through (n) was not instituted when employee noise exposures equaled or exceeded an 8 hour time weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA:    a)  At the facility, on or about November 3, 2016 - A continuing and effective hearing conservation program was not instituted when employee noise exposure equaled or exceeded an 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA.  An employee designated as a Diagonal Saw Operator had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 97.65%.  The exposure is approximately 1.953 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA.  This is equivalent sound level of 89.83 dBA.    b)  At the facility, on or about November 3, 2016 - A continuing and effective hearing conservation program was not instituted when employee noise exposure equaled or exceeded an 8 hour time-weighted average sound level (TWA) of 85 dBA.  An employee designated as a Press Operator had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 70.52%.  The exposure is approximately 1.410 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA.  This is equivalent sound level of 87.48 dBA.

An employee designated as a Diagonal Saw Operator had an exposure to continuous noise at a dose of 97.65%.  The exposure is approximately 1.953 times the OSHA action level of 85 dBA.
