29 CFR 1910.178(o)(1): Only stable or safely arranged loads shall be handled. Caution shall be exercised when handling off-center loads which cannot be centered. WAREHOUSE: The employer had not provided the operator of the powered industrial forklift truck (PIT) with stable or safely arranged loads to be handled. On/or about 11-14-2016, while an employee was putting tires away from pallet onto bin, the weight was transferred from one side of the pallet to the other, causing the pallet to shift. While the employee was trying to jump back, his shoulder was bang into machine control panel of the Caterpillar powered industrial forklift truck (PIT), and sustained an injury from the incident.
