One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.   a. At the workplace in the Sanding Area, the 22 inch drum sander was not guarded on the ingoing and outgoing sides of it's face, creating a caught-between hazard between the sander and a roller of the conveyer it was mounted on.   b. At the workplace in the Sanding Area, the spoked side of the 22 inch drum sander was not guarded. Employees stood directly in front and next to the rotating spokes while operating the drum sander.
