29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a)  CNC Area, on or about 12/14/16:  Delta single spindle drill press used for de-burring was not equipped with a chuck and tool guard.  b)  CNC Area, on or about 12/14/16:  Bridgeport milling machine used for de-burring and tapping purposes was not equipped with a chuck and tool guard.  c)  CNC Area, on or about 12/14/16:  Turnmaster lathe was not equipped with a chuck guard.  d)  Bar Stock Area, on or about 12/14/16:  Fortune horizontal bandsaw was not provided with an adjustable guard to cover the unused portion of the blade.  The unguarded blade measured 9 inches.  e)  Bar Stock Area, on or about 12/14/16:  Wells horizontal bandsaw was not provided with an adjustable guard to cover the unused portions of the blade.  The unguarded blade on the right side measured 6-1/2 inches and on the left side measured 9 inches.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.:  a)  CNC Area, on or  about 12/14/16:  Compressed air nozzles delivering air at 85 p.s.i. were being used for cleaning purposes at each CNC machine.
