29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI): On or about 01/05/2017, employees were exposed to hexavalent chromium while operating, and working adjacent to, stainless steel laser welding operations. The employer did not conduct an initial determination to assess employee exposures to hexavalent chromium in the workplace to ensure that employees were not exposed above the permissible exposure limit over an 8-hour time-weighted average. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
