OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.    a) In kitchen adjacent to M47R Garland Griddle:    Employees who were performing work such as, but not limited to, lighting the pilot on a Garland M47R Griddle that had a damaged safety valve were exposed to a fire and explosion hazard.  Condition noted on or about 01/05/17.     NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASEFILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION NOR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where the eyes of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes were not available for immediate emergency use.  a)    In kitchen:   An eye wash was not provided at the facility for employees who are required to use Oven Grill & Fryer Cleaner which is a corrosive.  Condition noted on 01/05/17.   NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE INSPECTION CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye as a result of a work-related incident to OSHA within twenty-four (24) hours.   a)    In kitchen adjacent to M47R Garland Griddle:   The employer failed to report to OSHA within 24 hrs. a 12/24/16 work-related incident which resulted in in-patient hospitalization of an employee who suffered second degree burns to his face when attempting to relight a griddle pilot light.    NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE INSPECTION CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT FOR THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
