OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards due to improper use of 8 foot step ladders in closed position.    Location: back storage area  On or about January 6, 2017,  employees were exposed to fall hazards from 8 foot Louisville Fiberglass step ladder and 8 foot WERNER Aluminum step ladder, being used in the closed position. Employees climb up the ladder leaned up against wall or stacks of boxes due to insufficient room to unfold them completely. Employees use the ladders to access storage of products located on high shelves.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route.   Location: back storage area  Egress routes were blocked which prevents quick access to emergency exit during an event of a fire or emergency.  On or about January 6, 2017,   1. In box storage area, an 8 foot step ladder and boxes reduced the width of the exit route to a 23-inch to back door.   2. In the employee's break area, refrigerator and boxes reduced the width of the exit aisle to 17-inch.

29 CFR 1910.159(c)(10): The minimum vertical clearance of 18 inches between automatic sprinkler systems sprinklers and the material below was not maintained  Location: store office  On or about January 6, 2017, the minimum vertical clearance of 18 inches between the automatic sprinkler system and the product boxes below was not maintained. The boxes of products were stacked on the metal shelves in a manner which did not allow for 18 inches of clearance. It was the only sprinkler in an office and blocked. The product boxes were stored approximately 3.5 inches from sprinkler heads.
