29 CFR 1910.138(a): General requirements. Employers shall select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. On or about January 24, 2017, the employer did not provide chemical resistant gloves for employees who handle polyurethane prepolymer chemicals such as; ANDUR 6 DP LM and/or ECP90A, that contain the chemical 2,4-Toluene Diisocyanate.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area. On or about January 24, 2017, the employer did not provide training and information to temporary employees on the specific hazardous chemicals used in their work area. Hazardous chemicals used in the work area include; polyurethane prepolymers chemicals such as; Ethacure 300, ANDUR 6 DP LM polyurethane, ECP90A, M804 Urethane Release, etc.
