29 CFR 1910.184(d): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments were not being inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer:  a) On or about 02/15/17 in the Water Jet cutting area; employees were exposed to struck by hazards of dropping 100 pounds on their foot when the synthetic sling being used on the #3 Water Jet to lift the metal rings was not inspected since it was cut, torn, damaged and the green indicator thread was visible.     b) On or about 02/15/17 in the CNC area; employees were exposed to struck by hazards of dropping 75-100 pounds on their foot when the synthetic sling being used on the Mazak 450 to lift metal rings was not inspected since it was cut, torn and damaged.    NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(ix): All lamps for general illumination were not protected from accidental contact or breakage by a suitable fixture or lamp holder with a guard. Brass shell, paper-lined sockets, or other metal-cased sockets may not be used unless the shell is grounded.  a) On or about 02/15/17 in the Water Jet area; employees were exposed to shock hazards when the light bulb on each of the light fixtures hung near the water reservoir on every water jet cutter was not covered or protected from breakage and one of the lens on one of the light bulbs being used was cracked.      NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use,   a) On or about 02/15/17 throughout the facility; employees use hazardous chemicals/substances, such as but no limited to, garnet abrasive ( respiratory tract irritant), titanium alloy ( respiratory damage), Hastelloy ( metal fume fever), Specialty Steel ( carcinogen), propane ( flammable) but did not maintain an Safety Data sheet for these materials.    NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
