29 CFR 1910.243(c)(1): General requirements. Abrasive wheels shall be used only on machine provided with safety guards as defined in paragraph (c) (1) through (4) of this section.    On or about January 31, 2017, employees were exposed to amputation hazards while operating a Milwaukee Sander/Grinder (portable hand tool) and the employer did not ensure proper guarding was installed to eliminate amputation hazards near the point of operation      There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item.
