29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure:   a)  Front Porch - On or about March 01, 2017, carpenters were exposed to a 10 foot 6 inch fall from a porch and were not provided with guardrails or other suitable fall protection.   The JWG Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1037491, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 07/07/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1813 Hoban Rd., NW, Washington, D.C. 20007.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
