29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:    a)  At Market Square Shopping Center, Auburn, Alabama:  On or about April 13, 2017 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure employees involved in roofing activities on a low slope roof were using fall protection exposing his employees to a fall hazard of up to 33 feet to the concrete ground below.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  a)  At Market Square Shopping Center, Auburn, Alabama:  On or about April 13, 2017 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure an a-frame ladder used by employees to access the archway roof had its rails extend at least three feet above the landing exposing the employees to a fall hazard of 4 feet to the roof below.  b)  At Market Square Shopping Center, Auburn, Alabama:  On or about April 13, 2017 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure an extension ladder used by employees to access the main roof had its rails extend at least three feet above the landing exposing the employees to a fall hazard of 19 feet to the concrete ground below.
