29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: a) Facility, 300 Sportsmen Road, Apollo, PA: One or about March 6, 2017, an employee was exposed and suffered an injury while operating the Raimann KM 310 Rip saw because he was not wearing the necessary personal protective equipment, according to the equipment manufacturer, such a, but not limited to, a leather apron, to prevent him from an impalement injury.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(3): Each hand-fed circular ripsaw shall be provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator. They shall be designed to provide adequate holding power for all the thicknesses of materials being cut: a) Facility, 300 Sportsmen Road, Apollo, PA: One or about March 6, 2017, an employee was exposed and suffered an injury while operating the Raimann KM 310 Rip saw due a gap in the fingers where it looks as though 2 fingers were broken at the bottom and are shorter that the remaining ones on the right side, creating a gap along the bottom edge where the fingers meet the bottom area of the feed area.
