29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Jobsite - The employer did not ensure that the unused portion of the blade of an industrial grade food slicer was guarded by the adjustable top guard, exposing employees to amputation hazards. Observed on or about 14 DEC 2016. b) Jobsite - The employer did not ensure that the locking arm on the Robot Coupe Food Processor was functioning and in place exposing employees to amputation hazards. Observed on or about 14 DEC 2016.
