29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section:    On or about May 2, 2017, during the installation and re-routing of a water line for a construction project adjacent to 34182 Aurora Road, Solon, Ohio, the employer did not ensure employees working inside a trench, with a depth of approximately 7 feet and with near 90 degree vertical walls, were protected from cave-ins by an adequately designed protection system.  The soil would have been classified as; Cohesive Soil, type B.
