Tools, cleaning equipment, paint and flammable materials were stored in the paint booth during operation, including but not limited to, a permanently placed fire extinguisher, a fan, and tool boxes.

29 CFR 1910.107(c)(6): Electrical wiring and equipment not subject to deposits of combustible residues but located in a spraying area as herein defined were not explosion-proof type approved for Class I, group D locations and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part, for Class I, Division 1, Hazardous Locations:  On or about May 3, 2016, the employer exposed employees to injuries from explosion and fire hazards; the lighting in the spray booth is not rated for use in paint booth operations. Paint booths should have class 1 electrical; the paint booth has lighting that is only UL rated for damp conditions, not explosive conditions. In the paint booth two (4) light fixtures are not rated for use in class 1 conditions.
