OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees  (a) Location: Midland Ave / I-87 bridge, Yonkers NY   Employee was pumping concrete using 116 ft of 3" flexible hose and steel pipe combined together with snap-type clamps. The snap clamps were not provided with the manufacturer safety pin to prevent separation of hose sections while pressurized exposing employees to struck by hazards. Condition was observed on or about April 27, 2017.     Among other methods, one feasible abatement method to correct this hazard is to follow the American Concrete Pumping Association Certified Operator Manual Version 03.11.03 and Line Pump Safety Manual Version 6.0.1 section 12 item 12.3 guidelines on the use of pins on all delivery system clamps during concrete pumping operations.
