29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. 2585 Winder Hwy. Dacula, GA (Auto Shop) - An employee/worker was exposed to struck-by hazard. An employee operate the lathe rotor machine which turns the rotor brakes that goes on automobiles, without having the safety guard shield in place, to prevent metal shrapnel from flying back into the employee's face and preventing employee from coming in contact with the rotating part, on or about 05/18/17.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch: a. 2585 Winder Hwy., Dacula, GA (Shop Area) - An employee was exposed to struck-by hazards. An employee was required to utilize the abrasive wheel bench grinder when needed to grind down the burr on the edge of metal parts and/or work materials. The bench grinder work rest opening was greater than one-eighth inch, on or about 05/18/17. a. Central Machinery 8" Bench Grinder, Model #37823.

An employee was required to utilize the abrasive wheel bench grinder when needed to grind down the burr on the edge of the metal parts and/or work materials. The bench grinder adjustable tongue guard was greater than one fourth inch, on or about 05/18/17. a. Central Machinery 8" Bench Grinder, Model #37823.
