(a) Clausen Oysters LLC - F/V Lady Lil - On or about May 17th, 2017 and at times prior thereto, the CSHO observed duct tape around the latch-equipped "safety" hook on the AMCO VEBA 812 knuckleboom crane.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables shall be connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided that will prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws.  (a) Clausen Oysters - On or about May 17th, 2017 and at times prior thereto the CSHO observed an electrical conductor with damaged strain relief exposing employees, who are energizing the conveyor system, to an electrical shock.
