29 CFR 1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.  A.)  On or about Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 146-01 45th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11355  The employer failed to develop a written engineering survey prior to the demolishing and removal of an existing exterior overhead suspended ceiling which resulted in a ceiling collapse injuring two (2) employees.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
