29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use:  (a) Tops! in Countertops: On or about May 25, 2017, and at times prior, employees were exposed to respiratory hazards such as respirable crystalline silica due lack of a written respiratory program.  Lack of proper implementation and enforcement of a workplace-specific respiratory protection program as described in 1910.134(c)(1)(i)-(ix) may put employees at risk of exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace due to lack of proper wear, maintenance, and understanding of the limitations of respirators used.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
