29 CFR 1915.111(a): All gear and equipment provided by the employer for rigging and materials handling were not inspected before each shift and when necessary, at intervals during its use to ensure that it is safe. Defective gear shall be removed and repaired or replaced before further use.   Generator Room: A Harrington's hand chain hoist was not inspected to ensure that its hook assembly was missing the latch. In addition, the hoist tag was illegible and the model and serial number could not be determined.
