29 CFR 1910.141(g)(2): Employees were permitted to consume food or beverage in area(s) exposed to toxic materials    The results of wipe sampling indicate employees are exposed to cadmium ingestion hazards. Employees are allowed to eat and drink at the computers and at their works stations creating an ingestion hazard of cadmium. The employer has taken no action to provide a procedure or put a process in place to adequately remove cadmium from the surfaces where employees are authorized to eat and drink. There is no process or procedure in place to ensure the accumulations of cadmium is prevented. This was most recently documented on July 20, 2017 at Altec Industries Inc. Located at 2106 South Riverside Road Saint Joseph, Missouri 64507.    (a)  Employees are exposed to cadmium hazards of 2.10 micrograms at keyboard associated with the computer at the end of line 2 in Building 93 apart of AA Mainframe.    (b)  Employees are exposed to cadmium hazards of 2.02 micrograms at AA sub-finishing cell in Building 93 apart of AA Mainframe.    (c) Employees are exposed to cadmium hazards of 1.21 micrograms at AT Boom cell in Building 93 apart of AA Mainframe.

29 CFR 1910.1027(k)(1): Surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of cadmium:    The results of wipe sampling indicate employees are exposed to cadmium ingestion hazards. Employees are allowed to eat and drink at the computers and at their works stations creating an ingestion hazard of cadmium. The employer has taken no action to provide a procedure or put a process in place to adequately remove cadmium from the surfaces where employees are authorized to eat and drink.
