An abatement demand letter was sent to the employer on September 12, 2017.  Abatement documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components were not inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity:     a) West side of building, on or about 7-19-17:  One employee was applying joint compound while in a scissor lift that was not inspected by a competent person, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 16 feet 8 inches.     b) East side of building, on or about 7-19-17:  One employee was applying joint compound while in a scissor lift that was not inspected by a competent person, exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 14 feet 8 inches.
