29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:    a)  On or about 07-26-2017 and times prior thereto, located at DLA Operations Center, 8000 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Richmond, VA 23297, Condition: Employee(s) were exposed to Fireproof Foam Paint chemical spray application, Hazard classification of Acute Toxicity Category 4, Skin Irritant Category 3, Eye Irritant Category 2B, and Carcinogenicity Category 2B while wearing a tight-fitting, half-face filtered respirator with full bearded facial hair impeding and interfering with the users facepiece seal.    Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
