29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1): Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:    (a) Shop Area - The Dayton Table Saw was not provided with a guard over the blade. During the period of July 24, 2017 and August 18, 2017, an employee operated the saw with the missing guarding device.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET.

29 CFR 1910.213(c)(2): Hand-fed circular ripsaw(s) were not furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or being thrown back on the operator:    (a) Shop Area - The Dayton Table Saw, used for both cross cutting and ripping, was not provided with a spreader or splitter behind the blade.  During the period of July 24, 2017 and August 18, 2017, an employee operated the saw with the missing device.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

During the period of July 24, 2017 and August 18, 2017, an employee operated the saw with the missing non-kickback devices.
