29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:  The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards while engaged in masonry activities adjacent to active demolition activities. This was most recently documented on or about August 18, 2017, at the jobsite located at 2901 N. Mead Wichita, KS 67219. The employer did not provide training to employees in the recognition and avoidance of struck-by hazards associated with demolition activities in and around the area where masonry activities were being performed.

29 CFR 1926.859(a): Workers other than only those employees necessary for the performance of demolition operations were permitted in an area when balling or clamming was being performed:  The employer is failing to protect employees from crushing and struck-by hazards associated with demolition activities.  This was most recently documented on or about August 18, 2017, at a jobsite located at 2901 N. Mead, Wichita, Kansas 67219.  The employer did not provide protective barriers / barricades or signs warning employees of the hazard of potential falling material.  An employee working in the building entered the northeast portion of the building and was struck-by falling building material while in the demolition area.
