29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    a) 50 Foundation Ave, Ward Hill, MA 01835, International Bakers Company main room.    On or about May 25, 2017, the employer did not ensure that a point of operation hazard within a dough rounder/divider was guarded by one or more methods. An employee clearing dough through a rounder/divider machine contacted the point of operation, resulting in finger amputation injuries. The machine was so configured that the chute was not extended high enough to remove the employee from the hazard, and the automatic dough loader was not interlocked with the rounder/divider.      Cedars Mediterranean Foods, Inc./International Bakers Company, Inc. was previously cited for a substantially similar violation of the Occupational Safety and Health standard, or it's equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 788101, citation number 1, item number 1, issued on May 6, 2013, and became a final order on May 16, 2013.       Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
