On or about August 28, 2017 at 221-20 92nd Avenue, Queens Village, NY 11428  Employees were observed using the cross braces of a tubular welded frame scaffold erected approximately fourteen (14) feet above the lower level as a means of access and egress while prepping to power wash exterior bricks of a residential home exposing employees to fall hazards.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  A.) On or about August 28, 2017 at 221-20 92nd Avenue, Queens Village, NY 11428  Employees were observed standing on a residential rooftop along an unprotected side/edge approximately fourteen (14) feet above the lower level prepping to power wash exterior bricks without fall protection exposing employees to fall hazards.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED
