Employees unfamiliar with the requirements of fall protection during steel erection activities were exposed to falls up to 18 ft.

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) The Northview Group LLC on or about September 06, 2017, at the address of 1225 W. Alexis Rd. Toledo, OH: The employer did not ensure employees were adequately protected from falls during steel erection activities. Employees installing steel siding from atop a steel framed structure without the benefit of fall protection were exposed to falls exceeding 18 ft. to the ground below.
