Perry Pro Tech, Inc. on or about October 2, 2017, when conducting class III asbestos work, running new cables above a dropped ceiling, the employer did not: Conducted work within a regulated area that was demarcated to minimize the number of people within the area and protect persons outside the area; limit access to the regulated area to only authorized persons or persons authorized by the Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto; Require respirators for all persons entering the regulated area; Ensure that that all asbestos work performed within regulated areas is supervised by a competent person, as defined in paragraph (b) of this section. Exposure to asbestos can cause a variety of serious health effects including asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer.
