29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employees provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):    a) On or about October 6, 2017, and at times prior, five workers performing residential roofing work without fall protection were exposed to falling approximately 23 feet to ground level.    Abatement Note: The employer abated the hazard during the inspection.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.    a) On or about October 6, 2017, and at times prior, workers performing residential roofing without eye protection were exposed to eye injuries while in close proximity to and operating pneumatic fasteners.      Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
