The employer is failing to ensure that employees are exposed to eye and face hazards from flying particles while working on a residential roof. This most recently occurred on November 8, 2017 on the jobsite located at 1905 Greyson Dr, Papillion, NE 68133. The owner, Diego Lastor, and one employee were observed using hand-held pneumatic nail guns to install roofing material without any form of eye or face protection.

This most recently occurred on November 8, 2017 on the jobsite located at 1905 Greyson Dr, Papillion, NE 68133. The owner, Diego Lastor, and three employees were observed on the roof of a single-story house with an 8 in 12 sloped pitch at heights greater than 6 feet above the ground and not utilizing any form of fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: The employer is failing to ensure that all employees are protected from fall hazards when entering and exiting the landing surface of a residential roof. This most recently occurred on November 8, 2017 on the jobsite located at 1905 Greyson Dr, Papillion, NE 68133. The owner, Diego Lastor, and three employees were using an aluminum extension ladder to enter and exit the roof where the side rails were not extended to at least 3 feet above the landing surface which is about 10 feet above the ground.
