On or about November 29, 2017, employees were exposed to fall hazards above 9 feet while performing roofing activities on the north side of a commercial building and a competent person did not conduct an inspection of the job site to identify and eliminate the hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): The employer did not ensure each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. On or about November 29, 2017, employees were exposed to fall hazards above 9 feet while performing roofing activities on the north side of a commercial building and a suitable fall protection system was not used.
