29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel or the distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: In the following locations, on or about, January 12, 2018, the following off-hand abrasive grinders were not provided with proper tongue guards: A. Storage Bench, Delta bench grinder: The tongue guards were not installed on the grinder properly. The protective member was position next to the enclosure guard instead in the opening above each abrasive wheel. B. Shop Floor:, Ryobi pedestal grinder: The left side of the grinder was not provided with a tongue guard and the tongue guard on the right side of the grinder was adjusted to approximately 1.5 inches from the abrasive wheel.
