29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.    On February 15, 2018, at a two story office building under construction on Kinna Drive in Tipp City, the employer had not ensured that framers were wearing eye protection while being exposed to flying object hazards when utilizing nail guns to install sheathing on the roof frame.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    On February 15, 2018, at a two story office building under construction on Kinna Drive, Tipp City, two framers were exposed to a 25 ft. fall hazard while installing 4' x 8' sheathing on the roof structure without utilizing any fall protection.
