29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):     a) On or about March 1, 2018; roof area; an employee was straddling the top of the chimney, located on a 10:12 pitch roof,  without proper fall protection, exposing him to a potential fall hazard of an estimated 35-40 foot while repairing the chimney system.    The Priddy Clean Chimney Sweeps Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard  29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1132615, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 8/23/2016 with respect to a workplace located at 1641 19th Street NW Washington DC 20009.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
