29 CFR 1928.57(c)(5)(i)(A):    Application of electrical power from a location not under the immediate and exclusive control of the employee or employees maintaining or servicing equipment was not prevented by providing an exclusive, positive locking means on the main switch which can be operated only by the employee or employees performing the maintenance or servicing:    a)  229 Farm Road, Pompton Plains, NJ.    A positive locking means (lockout device) was not applied at the electrical power source of farmstead equipment, including but not limited to the Hawe Tray Mover, by each individual involved in servicing and maintenance activities.                                               Violation observed on or about 03/21/2018.

Employees who may be required to perform service and maintenance on equipment, such as, but not limited to the Hawe Tray Mover were not provided instruction on safe operation and servicing by the employer. 29 CFR 1928.57(a)(11):     Where a moving machinery part presented a hazard during servicing or maintenance, the engine was not stopped, the power source was not disconnected, and all machine movement was not stopped before servicing or maintenance was performed, except where the Employer could establish the following in 1928.57(a)(11)(i-iii):     a)  229 Farm Road, Pompton Plains, NJ.    Employees were exposed to caught-in or between hazards as the employer had not ensured that employees who service and/or maintain machinery and equipment, including but not limited to the Hawe Tray Mover, disconnected the power source to the Tray Mover so that inadvertent starting of the Mover could not occur.                                                     Violation observed on or about 03/21/2018.
