29 CFR 1926.62(d)(1)(i): Each employer who has a workplace or operation covered by this standard shall initially determine if any employee may be exposed to lead at or above the action level.  a.  On or about March 23, 2018, the employer at the jobsite located at 540 Prospect St Combined Locks, WI did not initially determine if employees using a needle gun to remove paint from steel beams may have been exposed to lead at or above the action level.  BKB Construction relied upon lead detection kits as conclusive evidence of the absence of lead in paint coatings that were being removed from steel beams with needle guns.
