29 CFR 1926.1101(d)(2): Asbestos hazards at a multi-employer work site were not abated by the contractor who controlled the source of asbestos contamination:    a) The Bank, Pipe Chase on the 6th, 7th, and 8th Floors:  The controlling contractor (GC) did not ensure that the non-intact asbestos pipe insulation was abated prior to allowing the subcontractor to perform HVAC work in the chase, as discovered on or about 02/16/2018.    ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED      ABATEMENT NOTE:  Alternatively, follow section 1926.1101(d)(5), and ensure that asbestos work (e.g., Class III asbestos work in the pipe chase) is performed in accordance with this standard.
