29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Wasson-ECE Instrumentation at 101 Rome Ct. Ft. Collins, CO 80524: On or before 4/10/18 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that non-working portions of the Jet 14" (Model C, SN 125612) bandsaw blade were exposed due to the guard being damaged in two places. This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. (b) Wasson-ECE Instrumentation at 101 Rome Ct. Ft. Collins, CO 80524: On or before 4/10/18 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the nip points where the belts meet the pulleys were not guarded on the Jet Vertical Belt Sanders (Model BSG-6, SN 3070073 and 5060114). This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards. (b) Wasson-ECE Instrumentation at 101 Rome Ct. Ft. Collins, CO 80524: On or before 4/10/18 the employer did not protect employees from injury in that the unused portions of the belt were not guarded on the Jet Vertical Belt Sanders (Model BSG-6, SN 3070073 and 5060114). This condition exposed employees to amputation hazards.
