Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards from falling loads:      (a) On or about April 25, 2018 and at times prior to that date, for the employee exposed to crushing hazards while repairs were performed on a suspended vehicle supported by a wood block on a four-post runway automotive lift at 4850 Gateway Drive, Grand Forks, North Dakota.      Abatement Note: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to follow the requirements of ANSI/ALI ALOIM which includes, among other requirements, the following:            1.   Institute a preventive maintenance program according to the manufacturers specifications.            2.   Provide training to employees on proper use and care of the lifts.            3.   Ensure all lifts are rated and marked with their load capacity.            4.   Schedule and complete all periodic and annual inspections.
