29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.    a) 2 Rose Lane, Wilkes-Barre, PA - An employee was not protected from falling while engaged in roofing activities on a steep-sloped (11:12 pitch) roof of a commercial establishment and was exposed to a fall hazard above ground level that ranged from eight (8) foot to twenty (20) foot , as observed on or about April 26, 2017.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for this violation.

29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns.  a) Ground Level, 2 Rose Lane, Wilkes-Barre, PA - The employee working on the ground and providing metal drip edging, portable power tools, and shingles to an employee working on the roof was not wearing a protective helmet exposing the employee to head injuries in the event that tools or material fell, as observed on or about April 26, 2018.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for this violation.
