OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a potential fall hazard of twenty-two (22) feet from a roof to ground level. a) Roof, 65 Broadway Street, Milton, PA - Employees worked on the steep-sloped (14:12 pitch) roof of a commercial establishment and used a Climbing Technology Quick'Up Plus Rope Ascender as part of a personal fall arrest system which was not being used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and industry standards exposing the employees to a twenty-two (22) foot fall hazard, on or about May 3, 2018. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement documentation and certification is required for this violation.
