29 CFR 1910.213(m)(1): The cutting heads of each wood shaper, hand-fed panel raiser, or other similar machine not automatically fed, were not enclosed with a cage or adjustable guard so designed as to keep the operator's hand(s) away from the cutting edge:    Workplace: The Cutting heads of the hand fed SCMI and Delta inverted routers used by employees to shape and /or groove wood panels were not enclosed with guards, exposing the employees to the hazard of amputation.      On 3 May 2018, an employee sustained an amputation injury to right thumb while operating one of routers.

Domestic Kitchens, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.213(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 864543, Citation Number 1, Item Number 7a and was affirmed as a final order on May 20, 2013 with a final abatement date of August 02, 2013 with respect to a workplace located at 553 Commerce Drive Fairfield, CT  06825.
