29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    (a) On or about May 4, 2018 and days prior to for employees with exposure to caught-in hazards from rotating parts while operating the Leblonde 24" Regal metal lathe where the guard covering the rear chuck has an opening measuring approximately 7" x 28" at the machine shop located at 6551 Highway 40 South in Tioga, North Dakota.     (b) On or about May 4, 2018 and days prior to for employees with exposure to caught-in hazards from rotating parts while using the center aisleway through the shop where rotating pipe stock extends in the aisleway approximately 12 inches without any means of guarding at the machine shop located at 6551 Highway 40 South in Tioga, North Dakota.    (c) On or about May 4, 2018 and days prior to for employees with exposure to caught-in hazards from rotating parts while operating the Chicago Power Tools AI-27 drill press where the machine is not equipped with a chuck guard at the machine shop located at 6551 Highway 40 South in Tioga, North Dakota.
