29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a- New Hampshire Avenue, Lakewood NJ: The employer did not ensure that each employee has been trained to recognize and minimize hazards associated with falling and steps needed to avoid and/or minimize these hazards. Employees were exposed to fall hazards, up to and in excess of 10 feet to the ground surface below, when walking/working from unprotected edges of a residential structure as well as from job built scaffolds without the use of any fall protection. At the time of the inspection, these employees had not received training regarding the identification, elimination, etc. of fall hazards by a competent person. This condition was noted on or about 05/21/18. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WIHT 29 CFR 1903.19.
