29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:      a)  On May 29, 2018, an extension ladder used by employees to gain access to the ladder jack scaffold platform was not long enough to have it's side rails extend at least 3 feet above the platform.      Bismark Roofing, LLC, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1279434, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on February 22, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at 338 Woodstock, Kenilworth, Illinois 60043.     In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
