29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i): Methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area (such as monitoring conducted by the employer, continuous monitoring devices, visual appearance or odor of hazardous chemicals when being released, etc.)  a) On or about May 30, 2018, the employer had not trained employees on methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence of asbestos prior to an employee removing a furnace which contained asbestos material used as pipe wrap in the basement of a farmhouse located at 7249 Maplewood Rd Forestville, WI 54213.

29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(3)(ii)(B): Before work under this standard is performed employers of employees who will perform such work shall inform employees of the location and quantity of ACM and/or PACM present in the area and the precautions to be taken to insure that airborne asbestos is confined to the area.  a) On May 30, 2018, the employer did not inform the employee removing a furnace in the basement of a farmhouse located at 7249 Maplewood Rd Forestville, WI 54213 of the location and quantity of asbestos containing material (ACM) and/or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) present in the area and the precautions to be taken to insure that airborne asbestos is confined to the area.
