29 CFR 1926.451(b)(5)(ii): The end of a platform greater than 10 feet in length extended over its support more than 18 inches and the platform was not designed and installed so that the cantilevered portion of the platform is able to support employees without tipping, or has guardrails which block employee access to the cantilivered end: a) At 1227 Weatherford St., Auburn, Alabama (East Side): On or about June 13, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform siding activities from a pump jack scaffold and the work platform extended ten feet past its support on both sides exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 16.5 feet to the ground below. b) At 1227 Weatherford St., Auburn, Alabama (West Side): On or about June 13, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform siding activities from a pump jack scaffold and the work platform extended ten feet past its support on both sides exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 11.7 feet to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.451(b)(7): On scaffolds where platforms are overlapped to create a long platform, the overlap did not occur only over supports: a) At 1227 Weatherford St., Auburn, Alabama (East Side): On or about June 13, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform siding activities from a pump jack scaffold that had two working platforms overlapped without support under them exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 16.5 feet to the ground below. b) At 1227 Weatherford St., Auburn, Alabama (West Side): On or about June 13, 2018 and at times prior; the employer allowed his employees to perform siding activities from a pump jack scaffold that had two working platforms overlapped without support under them exposing his employees to a fall hazard of 11.7 feet to the ground below.
